Anaheim Ducks vs Coyotes: Trevor Zegras Debut, Date, Time, TV, More
While the Anaheim Ducks were being handed a beating by the Minnesota Wild on Saturday night, just a few hours down the 5, the San Diego Gulls absolutely destroyed the Colorado Eagles, defeating them 7-2. While it was an all-around team effort, it was Trevor Zegras everyone had their eye on.
Scoring two goals, he now co-leads the AHL in scoring, with 9 points (4g, 5a) in 8 games. Since his performance in the 2021 WJC, which led team USA to the gold medal, fans have watched the young star in awe. After scoring his second goal, he showed off a little attitude reminiscent of Ryan Kesler, which is something one can do when they’re good at hockey and they absolutely know it.
After the game, Zegras was given the news. It was time for him to take his skills to the next level and make his NHL debut. Anaheim Ducks fans have been waiting for this moment since the beginning of the season, and it is more than likely he could make his debut tonight against the Arizona Coyotes.

There are questions surrounding his call-up, especially since the Anaheim Ducks don’t seem in a position to make the playoffs anymore. Many are asking: what is the point? Nevertheless, while Zegras may not be able to undo the damage already done this season, he can certainly breathe life into the Anaheim Ducks and give hope to the fans.
It is going to be interesting to see how head coach Dallas Eakins utilizes the young forward in the absence of recently demoted Adam Henrique. But, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see Trevor Zegras score his first NHL goal here in the next few days.
