The Anaheim Ducks have two regular season games left, and tonight they face off against the Calgary Flames for the last time in 2018-19.

It has been a long season, and only two more games stand between the Anaheim Ducks and a summer full of hard work. For the final time, they will face the Calgary Flames, a team that has quite a difficult record here at Honda Center.

So far, the Ducks have lost both contests to the Flames, giving up a combined 8 goals in two games. Both teams already know their postseason fate. The Flames will make their way to the playoffs and the Ducks will be playing a lot of golf. However, tonight, a challenge still remains. Can Anaheim prove once and for all that Calgary simply cannot win at the Ponda?

Anaheim Ducks Player to Watch — Rickard Rakell

Rickard Rakell has had a more difficult season than any of the Anaheim Ducks on the team this season. His almost 70 point season last year put a lot of expectations on the 25-year-old Swedish winger. While it may not be fair that he has spent most of the season under a microscope, no one could have predicted how the Ducks 25th Anniversary Season would end up.

However, the creative and crafty Rickard Rakell of old has made a resurgence in the past few months. A 20 goal season seemed like a stretch for the Swede just a few weeks ago. Nevertheless, his 8 goals in the last five games have put him within just two goals of eclipsing the 20 goal mark.

He has a lot to prove in the next two games, not just to Ducks Nation and his team, but to himself. Rakell is not known as a player who gives up easily, so I would expect to see his name on the stat sheet tonight and during the Ducks season finale against the Los Angeles Kings on Friday.
