Anaheim Ducks: Standing at a Crossroad Against the Chicago Blackhawks
The Chicago Blackhawks have blown in from the Windy City, hungry for a win. Are the Anaheim Ducks up for the challenge or will they fall short yet again?
It is game day in Orange County, and the Anaheim Ducks are gearing up for their final showdown of the season against the Chicago Blackhawks. Twice this season these teams have already met, and both have walked away with a victory. However, the Ducks are in quite a different position this time around.
Oh, how the “Mighty” have fallen. It’s time for the Ducks to dust off their golf clubs and get ready for a summer full of relaxation at the links. For the first time in six seasons, they will miss the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

This leads them to a crossroad tonight, as well as many of us fans. There are two possible outcomes for tonight’s game, and the fate ultimately rests in the player’s hands. A loss would likely cause them to fall further in the standings, which would be ideal for their draft position come June. However, a win would be nice for our sanity, as well as the sanity of the players.
The Chicago Blackhawks certainly have the upper hand with a team that is chalked full of much more offensive talent than the Ducks. Nevertheless, if the Ducks play at a competitive level tonight, win or lose, it will be a victory for everyone.
