He has had impressive showing both times he has been in net for the Anaheim Ducks. He came to the relief of Chad Johnson during their most recent game with the Philidelphia Flyers, saving 24 of 26 shots. While we only have a two-game sample size, he has made a much stronger case for himself to be the next backup for John Gibson.
Boyle is projected to be in net tonight with both John Gibson and Chad Johnson being out to injury. He will be a solid entity for the rest of his team as they continue their journey to find their “new normal.”
