Pucks of a Feather’s Western Conference Finals Predictions
The Winnipeg Jets defeated Nashville last night to advance to the Western Conference Finals (WCF). They meet the Vegas Golden Knights who knocked off San Jose to earn their spot. Our staff gives our series predictions.

Both teams are good. Both have crazy fans. But the Jets have Teemu Selanne on their side. Even with Selanne, the Jets can’t keep up with Vegas’ number one asset. What’s that? NHL commissioner Gary Bettman hates Canada.
You know a Canadian team has not won the Stanley Cup since 1993, right? Coincidentally, that was the year Bettman became commissioner of the NHL. He’s not about to allow that to happen now. The officials have their marching orders in hand already. All that’s left for you to do is to head straight to your nearest bookie and bet Vegas in seven.

Both teams in the Western Conference Finals have a lot to prove, there’s a lot riding on this series victory. The Jets haven’t ever been to the WCF and Vegas is in their inaugural season. Looking at this from a statistical standpoint, Winnipeg has the all-around advantage. I think it’s going to be a close series, but my prediction is that the Jets win in Game 6.

I have a feeling Winnipeg is gonna end Vegas’s dream run. I don’t think Vegas makes it easy on them. Its definitely gonna be a tightly contested series. I think Winnipeg has a tad more depth scoring that’ll help give them the edge. Gonna be a fun series to watch for sure

Winnipeg takes care of Vegas in six.

I’ve learned to stop doubting Vegas. Go Knights.

The Vegas Golden Knights dream season ends in the Western Conference Finals. I wrote them off before the regular season. I wrote them off before they played Los Angeles in round one. Yes, I also wrote them off before the San Jose series. The law of averages is on my side.
Seriously, its the Jets year. Connor Hellebuyck was dynamite all season and its continued into the playoffs. Their defensive group is exceptional, led by Dustin Byfuglien and Tyler Myers. Up front, Blake Wheeler had a career year with 91 points (40 on the power play) and Patrick Laine is one of the best young forwards in the game.
