Third Star – Andrew Cogliano
Cogliano had a decent week in the scoring department picking up a goal and an assist. That isn’t why he is the third star this time around. It is the timeliness of those points that made him stand out from his peers.

Wednesday night,11:37 into the first period, Brandon Montour got send to the box for a cross-checking penalty. Calgary started to gain momentum and Dougie Hamilton almost put the flames on top, but he hit the post. Cogliano came back 46 seconds later and scored a shorthanded goal to put the Ducks on top 1-0.
Goalie John Gibson gave Cogliano the credit for sparking the team to Cogliano in his postgame remarks, “We knew they were going to come out hard. When he got that, it gave us the momentum and kind of took them down a little bit. That was a big moment in the game for us.”
The score also tied Cogliano with Paul Kariya as the Anaheim Ducks all-time leader in shorthanded goals with 16. After the game, Cogliano was happy with the achievement. He told NHL.com. “Paul Kariya is one of the best of all time, really. For sure, one of the best Ducks of all time. I’ve had a good amount of shorthanded goals, so it’s pretty special.”
Mister Clutch came through again on Sunday. 19 seconds after the Oilers scored at 1:46 into the game, he found Josh Manson joining the rush and hit him with a nifty pass which Manson put home to tie the game.
