Anaheim Ducks vs. Chicago Blackhawks Game 1: Fan Picks

Make the calls for today’s game, then rub it in our faces later!

It’s game day, Ducks fans!

The Anaheim Ducks host the Chicago Blackhawks in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals this afternoon. The winner will take one step closer to playing in the NHL Stanley Cup Finals; the loser will go back to the drawing board in search of a remedy.

You know I’ll be tuning into the action today, but as much as I enjoy watching professional athletes win, I want to be able to give our devoted readers here at Pucks of a Feather a chance to walk away winners, too!

The other day, I announced that we were holding a contest for the entire Western Conference Finals series, and threw out some pre-series picks. As part of the contest, we’ll also be giving you a chance to make a few picks before every game. Make some good predictions, earn some points, and who knows – you may win some bragging rights and a brand spanking-new Pucks of a Feather t-shirt.

Here are the picks for Game 1:

Pick #1: Pick two players to score today for Anaheim. Five points for each player that scores, but ten points if one of those players scores first, and fifteen if one of those players scores the game-winner!

Pick #2: Pick the combined score at the end of the first period. Five points to whichever reader is closest.

Pick #3: Guess how many saves Fredrick Andersen makes today. Ten points to the closest pick, but fifteen points if you guessed it perfectly.

Pick #4: Predict the combined final score with your game winner. Ten points to whichever reader is closest to the combined final score, and seven points for predicting tonight’s victor!
