Ducks Calls: Fan Picks for Game 5 Anaheim vs. Calgary

Feeling like a lucky duck?   Throw your knowledge at me, in the form of some predictions!

Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals is going down TONIGHT, everyone!

(By the way – Happy Mother’s Day to all you Anaheim Ducks moms out there – let’s see if those plucky ducks can’t give you something to cheer about when they host the Calgary Flames in the Honda Center toward the end of your day.)

Now that I have settled in here as the editor of Pucks of a Feather, it’s time for me to resurrect one of the recurring pieces I used to do when I wrote for FanSided NHL a few years back.

The concept is simple: I throw a few questions at you – which Ducks player will score Anaheim’s first goal of the game, for example – and you throw me your pick!

In years past, I have a friendly competition for the entire season, after which I awarded a FanSided t-shirt to whichever reader had performed the best.  I may just do that again . . . but for now, let’s just see what guys have, okay?

Pick #1: Pick two players to score tonight for Anaheim.  Five points for each player that scores, but ten points if one of those players scores first, and fifteen if one of those players scores the game-winner!

Pick #2: Pick the combined score at the end of the first period.  Five points to whichever reader is closest.

Pick #3: Guess how many saves Fredrick Andersen makes tonight.  Ten points to the closest pick, but fifteen points if you guessed it perfectly.

Pick #4: Predict the combined final score with your game winner.  Ten points to whichever reader is closest to the combined final score, and seven points for predicting tonight’s victor!

Share your picks in the comments section below – I’ll tally everything up after the game and see who earned bragging rights!
