How Twitter Reacted to Game One of the Anaheim Ducks vs. Winnipeg Jets

Emotions were running high at the beginning, middle and end of Game One of the Stanley Cup Playoffs for fans of the Anaheim Ducks.  Check out the story, according to Twitter!

Wow – what a game.

I don’t know if I can survive the series if the Anaheim Ducks are going to have this kind of fight on their hands night in and night out.  Still, that was a ton of fun.  Probably the best time I have had on Twitter, too!  Let’s relieve some of the highlights and low lights, Twitter-style!

Anaheim opened the scoring when Sami Vatanen found twine only 1:57 into the game, and a flock of Ducks fan flocked to Twitter accordingly:

I was still Tweeting using the @PucksofaFeather account when the good vibes ended almost as quickly as they began, though:

It took less than a minute for the Jets to respond, courtesy of an Adam Lowry goal that came courtesy of a defensive breakdown on the part of Clayton Stoner.   Stoner had been chosen to replace James Wisniewski by coach Bruce Boudreau, a decision that had been questioned by many Ducks fans.  The fact that Stoner was involved in Winnipeg’s opening goal was not forgotten by the Twitterverse:

With the game dead-locked at 1-all in the second, Drew Stafford (who has to be thrilled he’s no longer in Buffalo!) snapped a shot past Frederik Andersen, and things were looking bleak:

Then Corey Perry started doing his thing, and all was right with the world:

That was a fun game to watch, and I enjoyed Tweeting with everyone, even if it was a bit of a rollercoatser!  Get your rest – we’ll meet up again tomorrow!
