Anaheim Ducks Daily Links: Time For Fire Extinguishers

Good evening, Anaheim Ducks fans! It’s finally gameday, as the Ducks will play their final game before the All-Star break when they welcome the Calgary Flames to Honda Center. Both teams have won four consecutive games, but the Flames have had a revelation in goaltender Joni Ortio, who is 4-0-0 with a 1.23 GAA and .958 SV%. He will be the starter for the Flames, while the Ducks will counter with Frederik Andersen.

Calgary is currently in a playoff spot, with 53 points. They sit one point ahead of the Los Angeles Kings, who are also in action against the San Jose Sharks. They are one of the best third-period teams in the NHL, so the Ducks cannot afford to either sit on a lead or let the game get too far out of hand. The Ducks have won 19 consecutive games at the Honda Center over the Flames and will be looking to extend that number.

Plenty of news happened in the NHL as well. Here are some Ducks and NHL news for the day.
