With the month of August winding down, hockey organizations switch their mindsets from offseason to regular season. But before the puck is dropped on Oct. 8 to signal the start of the 2014-2015 NHL season, there are training camps and preseason games to be had.
Before the Anaheim Ducks open their preseason campaign against the Colorado Avalanche on Sept. 22, the incumbent Pacific Division champions will play two Futures Games vs. the San Jose Sharks.

The first game will take place on Sept. 13 with the second to be played the following day on Sept. 14. The first game will be held at THE RINKS – Anaheim Ice while the second contest will be played at Honda Center.
The two games will feature some familiar faces for Ducks fans. Rickard Rakell, Nicolas Kerdiles and 2014 first round pick Nick Ritchie headline the youngsters for the Ducks.
