During a conference call with the Ducks, Maroon express his excitement about continuing his career in Anaheim.
"I’ve been a part of the Ducks organization for a while now. They gave me a great opportunity to live my dream. Bob Murray has been nothing but good to me. We’ve been talking about this for a while now. I’m just glad to be a part of the Anaheim Ducks for the next four years.”"
Maroon, 26, was originally drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in the sixth round of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. The Ducks acquired the 6’3, 230-pound forward on Nov. 21, 2010 in a trade that sent Maroon and David Laliberte to Anaheim for Rob Bordson and Danny Syvret.
