Anaheim Ducks Morning Links: Bring Out the Leaf Blowers

facebooktwitterreddit

Good morning, Anaheim Ducks fans! That was a terrific 4-0 shutout win over the Toronto Maple Leafs. There were numerous positive takeaways from the game, but the game was far more encouraging than just its strong individual efforts. It was an overall strong team effort by the Ducks. The defensive effort in front of Andersen was excellent, and the team was engaged in all three phases and all three zones for the whole 60 minutes. While that sort of performance cannot be expected each and every night, the Ducks proved on Wednesday that they are fully capable of playing at a higher, much more consistent level than they had been through the majority of the season.

The Ducks close out their eight-game homestand on Friday, when the New Jersey Devils come to visit Honda Center. However, in the off-day between the two games, the Ducks can compartmentalize the win before getting ready for another bout against an Eastern Conference opponent. In the meantime, here are some Ducks and NHL news to get the morning started.
