Third Star: Corey Perry, RW (2 G, 1 A, +2, 6 SOG, 20:56 TOI)

Perry has not always looked completely right since his return from the mumps virus, but he was excellent Saturday. He had a terrific three-point outing, including scoring two goals that really jumpstarted the team. Bruce Boudreau was looking to push the buttons on Perry by splitting him from Getzlaf to start the game (Perry started the game on a line with Rene Bourque and Ryan Kesler). It worked: Perry responded with his best game in a while. He had struggled as of late, scoring two points and having a -4 rating in six games entering the contest. The Ducks are a better team when Perry is playing well, and if this performance gets him going, the Ducks become that much more dangerous.
