With any goalie, the goal is to hope that he gives the team a chance to win. In mop-up duty for Andersen, LaBarbera did just that, stopping all 15 shots he faced on the night, including some key stops in the third period while the Ducks were scratching and clawing. With the absence of John Gibson, Andersen had shouldered a major load, starting his 11th consecutive game and both ends of a back-to-back in this contest. LaBarbera spelled Andersen for a bit and did a terrific job, and he ultimately gave the Ducks a chance.
