Cogliano is signed to the tune of 3 million per year through the 2017-2018 season. If he continues to find the net as he did this season and even a couple more times next year, that will be money well spent by the Ducks.

Although the chemistry is there with Koivu, I believe whether Saku returns or not, a new spot should be found for him. With the blistering speed Cogliano possess and the scoring touch, giving him line mates to facilitate that would be in the Ducks’ best interest for some secondary scoring. Giving him a center like Nick Bonino or potential new Duck Ryan Kesler would be beneficial. Also giving him either more speed on the other wing in Jakob Silfverberg or a big body to make more room for him like Patrick Maroon would be my choices.

One of the best things about Cogliano is you know from puck drop to final buzzer you are going to get 110% and if he continues to put up 20+ goals a season, you will see Cogliano flying around the Pond for years to come and enjoy every second of it.
