Yesterday afternoon, the Anaheim Ducks formally announced the schedule and roster of their annual rookie camp, which will take place from September 5th to September 9th. All practices will be taking place at Honda Center and will be free to attend for anyone. However, if you are planning to attend, the Ducks did warn everyone to keep an eye on their website because the practice schedule is subject to change. This camp will also include the two SoCal Futures Games against the Kings prospects, which I wrote about early last week.
Here is the schedule for the camp:
Thursday, September 5th:
Practice: 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., 12:30 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Friday, September 6th:
Practice: 9:15 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.
Saturday, September 7th:
SoCal Futures Game @ Honda Center – 6:00 p.m. (post-game autograph signing)
Sunday, September 8th:
Practice: TBD
Monday, September 9th:
SoCal Futures Game @ Toyota Sports Center – 6:00 p.m.
Now, here is the camp roster:
Forwards:
- Brent Andrews – ATO
- Austin Carroll – ATO
- Joseph Cramarossa
- Emerson Etem
- Max Friberg
- Ryan Horvat – ATO
- Ross Johnston – ATO
- Antoine Laganiere
- Stefan Noesen
- Rickard Rakell
- Charlie Sarault
- Devante Smith-Pelly
- Nick Sorensen
- Chris Wagner
- Steven Whitney
Defenseman:
- Kyle Becker – ATO
- Kevin Gagne
- Kenton Helgesen
- Andrew O’Brien
- Shea Theodore
- Sami Vatanen
- Stefan Warg
- Teigan Zahn
Goaltenders:
- Frederik Andersen
- Igor Bobkov
- John Gibson
- Etienne Marcoux – ATO
Well, my prediction for lines for the upcoming Futures Games isn’t looking all that good right now:
Nic Kerdiles
– Rickard Rakell – Stefan Noesen
Max Friberg –
William Karlsson
– Chris Wagner
Kevin Roy
– Antoine Laganiere – Nick Sorensen
Steven Whitney – Joseph Cramarossa –
Grant Besse
Hampus Lindholm – Shea Theodore
Sami Vatanen –
Keaton Thompson
Andy Welinski
–
John Gibson
Frederik Andersen
Bench: Charlie Sarault,
John Kurtz, Kevin Lind
But then again, I wouldn’t know about the guys who are having amateur tryouts, thats what the ATO stands for by the way. Of course, there are always guys who are on ATO’s but I couldn’t know who. It’s understandable that Kerdiles isn’t here, he’s busy hittin’ the books at Wisconsin. Same thing with Andy Welinski and Kevin Lind. However, I don’t know why William Karlsson isn’t attending.
Anyway, we’ve got a great crop of young players. So, if you have the opportunity, go down there and check them out!
