Troy Terry hit another milestone on Friday night when he became the first rookie in Anaheim Ducks history to record back-to-back 3 point games.

This year has been a season full of milestones for the Anaheim Ducks. We’ve seen multiple players score their first NHL goal, Ryan Miller became the winningest American goaltender in NHL history, Ryan Getzlaf eclipsed 900 points, and Ryan Kesler played in his 1,000th game. However, despite all of these incredible achievements, a recent milestone deserves a little recognition.

On Friday night, American Hero, Troy Terry, became the first rookie in the history of the Anaheim Ducks to record back-to-back 3 point games. While many players in the NHL play in back-to-back games where they record multiple points, it is rare for a rookie to do so. In fact, the last rookie to do so was Mathew Barzal, of the New York Islanders, in January 2018.

In the Anaheim Ducks heartbreaking loss against the St. Louis Blues, the brightest spot was Terry’s performance. He had an assist on all but one of the Ducks goals that evening. On Friday, when Anaheim absolutely crushed the Montreal Canadiens, Terry added a goal and two more assists to his point total for the season. Of his six points in the two games, three of his assists resulted in a goal from linemate and veteran center, Adam Henrique.

The two of them have shown extraordinary chemistry over the past few games. With Rico locked down for the next five years, unless he is dealt in a major trade this summer, we could see the fruitful beginnings of a wonderful partnership.

the Anaheim Ducks 2015 5th round pick, Troy Terry, is just starting his NHL career. With that in mind, it would be surprising to see him reach quite a few more milestones over the next few years. If that is the case, Ducks Nation is in for a real treat as we continue to watch him grow and develop as a player. Although there are only a handful of games left in the season, it would not be shocking to see Terry’s name on the scoresheet more often than not.
