As we wave goodbye to 2018, and ring in the New Year, we take a look back at the Anaheim Ducks best moments from the first half of the 2018-19 season.
We bid adieu to 2018, a wonderful year of great moments for all of us and the Anaheim Ducks. In the words of one Mr. William Shakespear, “parting is such sweet sorrow.” We leave behind a year full of wonderful memories but press forward with the anticipation of every incredible moment waiting for us in 2019.
Now that the first half of the season is over, the Anaheim Ducks have a lot of work to do if they want to have any chance at making the playoff’s this year. Whether they build off the chemistry they already have as a team, make a significant trade, or completely re-tool their special teams, they need to start somewhere.
While making a push to the playoff’s may seem overwhelming, there were plenty of moments in 2018 that reminds us never to lose hope in the Anaheim Ducks.
In 2018, we saw players score their first NHL goals. We celebrated at the news of important contract extensions. Starry-eyed and filled with wonder, we watched a few of our veterans reach important career milestones.
We sat in awe as one of the greatest players in franchise history had his jersey retired and hung in the rafters. As a surprise to us all, we even saw the rehabilitation of a few NHL careers.
Although there are plenty of moments to choose from, we cannot relive them all. As an homage to a wonderful start to the 2018-19 season, I chose 15 great moments for us to reflect on. All of them are a reminder to Ducks Nation that with a little hard work and dedication, anything is possible.
