The Anaheim Ducks are celebrating their 25th Anniversary season, many special nights planned. From special jersey nights, new 3rd jerseys, and number retirements, there is plenty to look forward to. Fans will see two numbers retired this season, but will more follow them years down the road?

Ducks legends, Paul Kariya and Scott Niedermayer, will finally have their numbers sent to Honda Center’s rafters. Both #9 and #27 will join fellow legend, Teemu Selanne’s #8, during the 2018-19 season. While the case can be made that J.S Giguere’s #35 should also join the list of retired numbers, one question still remains. Will there be any more after that? Should the Ducks decide to honor Giggy’s #35 next year or the year after, it should be the last number retired for a while.

Is there a possibility that more numbers will join those three, if not four, jerseys that will hang in the rafters of Honda Center? If you ask many Ducks fans, the only two names that should even be in the discussion are Ryan Getzlaf‘s #15 and Corey Perry‘s #10. These two are certainly the most popular and recognizable Ducks on the current roster. Even so, have they truly done enough to have their numbers retired?
