This week the Westgate Sports Book put out their NHL over/under point total bets. We told you our thoughts about the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday. Today, we share our take on where the value is and bets you should avoid.

On Wednesday the Westgate Sports Book (formerly the Las Vegas Hilton) released their NHL over/under point totals. We put out an editorial in response to their undervaluation of the Anaheim Ducks. Place a bet now on the Ducks and collect in April. Here are our suggestions for the entire NHL.

About Right – Hold your Bets

These teams will finish very close to the predicted point totals. It’s probably a good idea not to play them at the betting window.

Toronto, 106.5 – They were already good, before adding John Taveras. The Leafs will win the Atlantic with very close to 106.5 points.

Nashville, 105.5 – Good enough for second place, which will be where they finish in the Central Division.

San Jose, 97.5 – The point total looks to be right. Will it be enough to make the postseason?

Columbus, 97.5 – Never bet on or against John Tortorella. He’s too volatile a personality to wager on.

Vegas, 96.5 – Seems to be on the mark.

Minnesota, 95.5 – Just better than average. Sounds like a Bruce Boudreau coached team.

Calgary, 93.5 – They could go either way. It’s best to avoid the “Flaming C’s” this season.

New Jersey, 91.5 – Last season’s surprise in the east comes back to the pack.

Chicago, 84.5 – 100% healthy Corey Crawford, over. Less than 90% Crawford, under.

NY Islanders, 83.5 – Who knows what happens to this team without JT.

Montreal, 80.5 – Bad team, but good goalie keeps them a hair under .500.

NY Rangers, 75.5 – Too many variables to get a read on the Broadway Blueshirts.
