We at Pucks of a Feather thought it might be time for a top ten list
Whats the best way to start an top ten but with the best of all time to where the Anaheim crest. each day over the next two weeks we will feature a countdown to who we think the best player in Ducks history is. This won’t be your standard list, our criteria is based on Longevity, Statistics, Team Impact, and Fan Appreciation. We could choose from combination of all four or just one, there will be players that are expected along with a few unexpected additions. Myself and Megan Brown each made our own determinations, so there will be two mentions for each placement. Some you may agree with some you my wonder what we were thinking and that’s why this is fun.
So without further ado the #10 All Time Anaheim Duck!

From the moment “The Stach” showed up in Anaheim, he was a fan favorite. He would answer any bell and stand up for his fellow teammates without hesitation. Anaheim hadn’t had that kind of enforcer player since the days of the Stu “The Grim Reaper” Grimson. George Parros is still welcomed with yells & cheers at Ducks events and is currently still active at charity events throughout Orange County and the surrounding area. Being that entrenched in the community and having the level of fan appreciation he has, I had to put him on this list.

Cam Fowler

Drafted by the Ducks in the first round of the 2010 draft, Cam Fowler came to Anaheim with pressure to preform. Preform he has, in the six seasons he’s been with the Ducks he has gone from a wet behind the ears rookie to a respected and knowledgeable top line defenceman. I might be a little biased to be honest, but that is why Cam is my number 10.

Stu Grimson
To be fare most people wouldn’t have put any enforcers on a top ten list unless it was for career penalty minutes. But the passion that Stu brought to the game and the excitement that existed when he was on the ice is undeniable. As a long time Ducks fan watching Grimson and Marty McSorley step up for their teams was really how I was introduced to the idea of “Fighting needs to stay in hockey.”. There were many times I watched Grimson drop the gloves and change the momentum of a game, giving the team life. Sometimes the best player in a game isn’t the “Finnish Flash” or the “Great One”, Sometimes it’s a guy that goes by “The Grim Reaper”.
