Anaheim Ducks Pursue Steven Stamkos?

Is Steven Stamkos coming to Anaheim really out of the realm of possibility?

Free Agency will be officially open tomorrow and the number one name on the list is Steven Stamkos. The big young center from Ontario Canada and current Captain of the Tampa Bay Lightning has been the talk of all GM’s since before the Draft last weekend. It even got the GM in Vancouver to give a nice donation to the NHL office.

The main talk of all in the know when it comes to the two time Rocket Richard winner is Why has Yzerman not given him a contract and that, Toronto or Detroit will be his most likely destinations.

My question to all is; why not have Stamkos come westward? More specifically, Why not have him dawn the Ducks crest?

And as it was just announced by Stamkos himself via his Twitter account he has resigned with Tampa Bay.
