First Star: Hampus Lindholm, D (1 A, +1, 2 SOG, 3 Hits, 2 Blocked Shots, 21:09 TOI)

Lindholm had another outstanding game, continuing to grow and cement his spot as the unquestioned number one defenseman on the Ducks. He was on the ice for both Ducks goals, including making the stretch pass for the eventual game-winning goal by Kesler. He didn’t pad the stat sheet, but he did his job and was a major reason why the Ducks were able to, for the most part, negate the Oilers’ speed and skating abilities on the night. The Ducks needed growth from their young defense, and Lindholm looks the part of a franchise defenseman. He has been exceptional for the Ducks this season, and in a game where the Ducks’ defense was solid, he was very deserving of the first star.
