Anaheim Ducks Stave Off Boston Bruins, Earn 3-2 Victory

Getzlaf was huge for the Ducks. The Bruins are a perennially strong team in the faceoff circle, yet Getzlaf won eight of 14 faceoffs. The team was under 50% on the night, but Getzlaf took many key faceoffs to seal the win, including winning four of five draws against Soderberg. He assisted on Beleskey’s eventual game-winning goal on one of those four faceoff wins, and he led the Ducks forwards in ice time. The Ducks needed a big game from their captain, and he delivered.
