1. Currently, Jonathan Toews leads the Chicago Blackhawks in goals (10) and is second on the team in scoring (19 points). He’s known across the league as a franchise cornerstone, one of the most complete players, and arguably the best captain in the game. However, he’s not always mentioned in the same sentence with the other top forwards in the game (despite his 4th place finish in the Hart Trophy voting in the 2012-2013 season). Despite the fact that he is a superstar, why does it seem that Toews is underrated throughout the league?

Keith: Jonathan Toews is underrated because he doesn’t play a stat hungry game.  He will never score 50 goals or probably pick up a 100 point season, but he does everything right.  From leadership, to winning draws, to playing a 200 foot game, he’s the leader of the franchise, and he’s one of the best players in the league (he should have won the Hart in 2013*).
