The captain did not end up on the scoresheet, but he was instrumental on the night in helping the Ducks get the win. Getzlaf won 10 of 17 faceoffs and played 3:43 on the penalty kill, helping the team go a perfect 4/4 while shorthanded. He led all Ducks forwards in ice time and singlehandedly prevented the Flames from getting any chance at netting an equalizer in the final moments. The captain stepped up when the team needed him to do so, and he helped preserve a win.
