The captain was outstanding. He scored two points, including getting a helper on the third period equalizer. Despite the lack of intensity and effort from the team in the middle frame and through the end of regulation, Getzlaf did everything for Anaheim. He blocked three shots, had four shots on goal, and helped control play: the team saw 16 shot attempts for and 12 against with the captain on the ice during 5-on-5 play. The team’s biggest leader stepped up and was a crucial component to the team getting a win.
