Second Star: Jakob Silfverberg, RW (1 A, 7 SOG, 16:07 TOI)

Silfverberg was creating chances throughout the game, finishing with seven of Anaheim’s 26 shots on goal (26.9%). Though he only has one goal on the season, Silfverberg picked up his ninth assist and tenth point of the season on Cogliano’s opening goal. He’s been one of the Ducks’ key penalty killers and is the Ducks’ strongest two-way winger. Despite the lack of overall production from stat-sheet numbers, Silfverberg has been one of the Ducks’ key young players this season, and he had another outstanding effort Thursday. Silfverberg has also become one of the Ducks’ most trusted shootout players, as his shootout goal puts him at 4/6 on the season in shootouts.
