Third Star: Ryan Kesler, C (1 G, 3 SOG, 22:59 TOI)

Kesler showed up big in another big game, scoring the Ducks’ second goal just minutes after a shorthanded goal could have completely deflated the Ducks. He has seven points on his current five-game point streak (three goals, four assists) and led all Anaheim players in total ice time. He faced off against Kopitar in as many matchups as Bruce Boudreau could get, and he neutralized the Kings’ top line at even-strength. Kesler also won six of eight faceoffs against Stoll and all three faceoffs against Jeff Carter. Kesler has continued to be an outstanding player for the Ducks, and he is now tied with Corey Perry for second in points on the Ducks and continues to be their faceoff leader.
