First Star: John Gibson, G (W, 0.00 GAA, 1.000 SV%)

Gibson was sensational tonight and showed exactly why scouts, experts, and the Anaheim organization believe he can be a star in the NHL. Gibson posted his second career regular season shutout in six starts. Including the playoffs, he has three shutouts in ten starts. When a team gives up 38 shots on goal in a game, it is difficult to expect to win without a stellar performance in net. Gibson delivered just that, stealing a win for Anaheim. The Ducks have been carried by strong goaltending in many of their eight wins this season, and tonight was no different. Gibson, with this win, improves his record to 2-1-0 with a 2.33 GAA and .926 SV%.
