Andersen was the major reason why the Ducks came out of Philadelphia with six points in the standings. In the NHL, it’s unreasonable to expect to win when a goalie has to face a high volume of shots. The problem was not that Andersen allowed three goals: the problem was that he faced 42 shots, yet he still did his job both in the 65 regulation and overtime minutes, as well as in the shootout. Andersen was massive in net on Tuesday, and that starting goalie job seems to be his.
