PHOTO: St. Louis Rams’ Austin Pettis wears his “Ducks Dedication”

Monday was not a good day for St. Louis Rams’ players, but for wide receiver Austin Pettis, it wasn’t a total disaster.

Last night on Monday Night Football, the Rams fell to the San Francisco 49ers 31-17 to fall to 1-4 on the season. The Rams burst out of the gate with a 14-0 lead in the first quarter, but couldn’t hold off the 49ers the rest of the way.

As for Pettis, he finished the contest with three catches for 15 yards. But as seen in the picture below, it appears that Pettis would have been happy with another team’s performance earlier in the day.

The Anaheim Ducks defeated the Buffalo Sabres 5-1 on Monday afternoon before Pettis took the field for the Rams on Monday night.

Pettis is a native of Anaheim, Calif., and stated on Twitter following the game that he is in fact a big Anaheim Ducks fan.

Kind of cool seeing an athlete from a different sport showing his support for his favorite hometown team.
