There is no offseason when it comes to rivalries. Fans on each side go back and forth like a bickering old couple, claiming their team is better than the other. But not just better, MUCH better.
When it comes to the Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings rivalry, Kings fans currently own the bragging rights in Southern California as L.A. took down Anaheim on its’ way to another Stanley Cup, its’ second in three seasons.
But that didn’t discourage one die-hard Ducks fan.
According to theScore, a Ducks fan posed in his Ducks jersey with Kings forward Trevor Lewis while Lewis took the Stanley Cup to Salt Lake City, UT., his hometown.
Twitter user @JACKaWILSON caught a shot of the fan with Lewis and posted it on Twitter earlier this morning.
Props to the fan for staying true to his team despite the situation. Credit is also due to Lewis for being a kind individual and allowing the fan to take a picture with him.
Maybe there is a brief offseason in a rivalry. But just to be safe, make sure there is a trophy involved.
