Iginla is virtually part of every team’s rumor mill and it will be interesting if he decides early tomorrow. The thought was that the Bruins would bring him back and are still in talks with him. However they are right up against the cap which has caused all these rumors to spin wild.

Iginla is only looking at teams that can win now and the Ducks fit that bill. They showed that with going out and getting Kesler prior to the draft and that could attract someone like Iginla. He is 36 and chasing a Cup which could lead to him being a very hungry player, and he’d get a real shot in Anaheim.

He picked up 30 goals in 78 games for the Bruins last season but disappeared, along with the rest of the scoring in the post-season. That could be cause for concern but may also be a product of the Bruins tight offensive scheme.

If the money is right and allows the Ducks to still bring in a defensemen than taking a risk on Iginla to play with Kesler I wouldn’t be opposed to. The two veterans can bring a lot of hockey skill as well as leadership ability that along with Getzlaf could be huge for the Ducks.
