Anaheim Ducks Select Nick Ritchie With No. 10 Pick

The Anaheim Ducks selected Nick Ritchie from the Peterborough Petes of the OHL with the No. 10 pick in the first round of the 2014 NHL Draft.

Ritchie, a 6’3 left winger, finished with 74 points in 61 games last season. He potted 39 goals and added 35 assists. Ritchie isn’t afraid to throw his body around as he racked up 136 penalty minutes during the 2013-2014 season.

The Ducks were able to select in the Top 10 as part of the Bobby Ryan deal last July.

Anaheim has selected in the first round of every draft since 1999. The Ducks next pick will be in the second round (No. 38 overall).
