Report: Ducks, Blackhawks Front-Runners for Ryan Kesler

It seems like there is a new report surfacing every day regarding Vancouver Canucks center Ryan Kesler.

The latest buzz? The Anaheim Ducks and Chicago Blackhawks are the front-runners to land the U.S. Olympian.

According to ESPN.com hockey analyst Pierre LeBrun, the Ducks and Blackhawks will be the two teams fighting for Kesler as they have “broken free” from the pack of suitors.

The Pittsburgh Penguins appear to be the third team in on Kesler.

Rumors have been floating around the past few weeks about Kesler and his future home. One report said that Kesler preferred to play in Chicago or Pittsburgh. Another report mentioned the possibility of Ducks forwards such as Emerson Etem, Devante Smith-Pelly, and Rickard Rakell being included in a trade to bring Kesler to Anaheim.

Regardless of which team is on the other end of the trade with Vancouver, the Canucks should get plenty of baggage in return.
