Briefing: The Angels kept their win streak going with a 4-1 victory last night over the A’s. Garrett Richards kept the Oakland offense in check as he pitched seven strong innings, only giving up one run on four hits. The offense was sparked by the bottom of the order, collecting six of the 11 Angels’ hits. Ernesto Frieri closed the door in the 9th inning as he struck out the side. Game 2 of the three game series is tonight as the Angels look to extend their winning streak to five games.

San Antonio Spurs vs. Miami Heat

Briefing: The rematch of last year’s NBA Finals has been everything we could have hoped for. The two squads split in San Antonio and now the series moves to Miami for Game 3 tonight. After leg cramps forced him to leave Game 1, LeBron James collected a double-double with 35 points and 10 rebounds in the 98-96 Heat win in Game 2. The Spurs were led by their usual suspects. Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobili all touched double figures. The battle of “Big 3’s” will be on full display tonight in Miami for Game 3.
