It is pretty much assured that Jonas Hiller will not be resigned by the Ducks leaving the net open to Andersen and Gibson. When Andersen was hurt it opened the door for Gibson.

Although he had his highs and lows it’s obvious there will be a good battle in net for the Ducks next season. This could be a good thing as they both know should they falter someone can easily take their spot. Andersen had a very good rookie year and some of his playoffs play could be chalked up to maturity and not knowing how to handle the situation.

He will have his chance to be a No. 1 but with Gibson there as well he is going to have to be at the top of his game every night to stay in the net.
