Last summer, Anaheim Ducks fans were saddened, although not terribly surprised, to hear that star right winger Bobby Ryan had been traded to the Ottawa Senators for a pair of prospects and a draft pick.
One of those prospects was Jakob Silfverberg, a young Swedish player with lots of potential.
He was a highly touted prospect in the Swedish Hockey League, capturing the league MVP and winning a championship with the Brynas IF during the 2011-2012 season.
His early success in the SHL along with his prominence in a trade for one of Anaheim’s top players certainly piqued interest among Ducks fans.
So, how did Silfverberg do in his first season as a Duck?
