Anaheim Ducks Digest: 3/19/14
Another morning of waking up with an Anaheim Ducks “disappointment hangover” after the Washington Capitals, and former Duck Dustin Penner, leave Anaheim with a win. Thus far in the season, the Eastern teams have struggled on western trips. It seems as though the struggles aren’t as predominant. The tide is changing, so to speak.
There is a “watch party” scheduled to occur on board the Queen Mary Ocean Liner. Check this out for more information and your event pass giving you free parking and admission. Watch the Ducks face the San José Sharks TOMORROW! There’s no time to waste on this one so get moving!
Corey Perry was recently a guest on radio 830AM’s feature “Duck Calls” to discuss various topics related to the team; winning, post season preparation, and specific game events. You can check out the fifteen minute conversation here.
The Norfolk Admirals are home tonight against the Charlotte Checkers at 7:15pm eastern. They also have a home and home on the schedule against the Binghamton Senators on Friday night and Saturday night; games are 7:30 and 7:15 ET respectively. You can tune in to hear them live by using the WXTG FM mobile app. Check out the next generation of Anaheim Ducks before they get to Anaheim!
The Admirals are 33-21-1 on the season and are currently tied for eighth place of the Eastern Conference Standings, with the Albany Devils. With the playoffs looming, the push is more important than ever this week to capitalize at home. Rookie goal tender, John Gibson, has been solid for the team and has the ability to play under pressure.
