Good Morning Anaheim Ducks fans! The Olympic Ducks have returned to Honda Center and are looking forward to the rest of the season.
The Ducks are the top candidate for the President’s Trophy to this point. This could finally be the year, no? It’s like talking about a shut out before it happens but this year we won’t let it be a jinx; we just keep the topic in conversation regularly.
It’s time to smile, Nick Bonino looks like he’s coming back from injured reserve. Reports are surfacing that the centerman is on the mend and looking to get back on the ice. During his brief stint with the team, Dave Steckel was able to step in and provide some relief assistance. Despite not posting any points this season with the Ducks, Steckel showed how valuable he is in the face-off circle and in the corners. He also finished his checks the only way a guy his size can; with big hits. Nothing new on Mark Fitric’s “lower body” injury has been released; perhaps something will come out in the next few days.
Ok, one last note on the Olympics. The title on this article makes it impossible not to share with everyone. It’s great to see players enjoying their accomplishments and not pining over what they didn’t get.
Here we go Ducks’ fans. We are getting back into the swing of things and looking forward to seeing the team back in action.
