Anaheim Ducks’ Daily: 2/9/14
Hello again Anaheim Ducks fans!!! What a great win last night in Nashville! Before we get transitioned into Olympic mode, let’s recap yesterday’s action.
As mentioned, the Ducks beat the Predators last night with two goals from Ryan Getzlaf; who totaled three points. Hiller was solid in net for the team to carry them though for the win.
Of course the other side takes the “victim mentality” after the game. No big deal, they have a couple of weeks to let it go.
For those who don’t know, Nashville’s General Manager, David Poile, was struck in the face by a misguided puck. The puck deflected down the tunnel and caused considerable damage. Poile may also be remembered for the Team USA controversy with Bobby Ryan.
After beating the Hartford Wolf Pack 1-0 on Friday night, the Norfolk Admirals fell on saturday night. The game looked like a completely different team on the ice. Goal tender John Gibson, left the ice midway through the second period after allowing three goals. He was visibly unhappy and who could blame him, much of the defense was collapsing in front of him.
Stay tuned for Olympic coverage coming up over the next couple weeks!
