As the Anaheim Ducks get ready for their Tuesday contest against the Winnipeg Jets they welcomed back Luca Sbisa to practice today fresh off his conditioning assignment with the Norfolk Admirals.

He still remains on Injured Reserve, all though you have to figure his return is closing in if the team is loaning him out for a conditioning assignment.

Once Sbisa returns, that would give the Ducks eight healthy defenseman meaning a move will come to cut that number back down to six. Sami Vatanen is the most likely choice, as he does not have to go through waivers and was sent down last time the team was fully healthy.

Another possibility is a trade, all though the biggest name the Ducks have been linked to has been Daniel Girardi, but seeing as he is another defenseman – that may not be the deal they make at the moment.

Happy Birthday Hampus

Hampus Lindholm has enjoyed an amazing rookie season, playing with maturity and hockey sense that would make you second guess the fact that he is just turning 20-years old. Lindholm is among the league leaders in plus/minus and has the highest GF/60 among qualified defenders in the league (goals scored by his team while he is on ice per 60-minutes).
