Anaheim Ducks: Ryan Getzlaf expected to play against Vancouver

After missing the Anaheim Ducks 1-0 victory over the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday night, it appears that captain Ryan Getzlaf will be a go tomorrow night against the Vancouver Canucks.

Getzlaf left Saturday night’s game against the Phoenix Coyotes after blocking a shot off his foot, and did not return.

Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register tweeted this earlier today,

The Red Wings game was the fourth game Getzlaf has missed this season and he still is fourth in points this season with 53 points (23 G, 30 A).

In their win against Detroit the Ducks power play struggled to find any grove so inserting Getzlaf back into the lineup will be a welcome addition.

Sbisa, Allen Practice As Well

Getzlaf wasn’t the only injured player to practice today as Luca Sbisa and Bryan Allen practiced with the team as well.

With the Ducks assigning Nolan Yonkman to the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League it is expected that Allen will be a go for the Ducks as well tomorrow night against the Canucks.
