So a little bit of a change up here, with the World Junior Championships playoff rounds starting today, I’ve decided to make a question revolving around this year’s WJC. Next week, I will go back to the draft history questions. First off, last week’s question and answer.
Q: Who is the first American born Ducks draftee to play for the club?
A: Jeremy Stevenson
This was a real difficult question. Stevenson was actually the 6th American the Ducks had selected when they picked him in the 11th round of the 1994 draft, but was the FIRST to PLAY for the team. Mat Peterson was the first American the Ducks ever drafted, but he never suited up for the team. Tom Askey was the 2nd American the Ducks selected, but he debuted in the ’97-’98 season and Stevenson debuted in the ’95-’96 season. There was also David Penney, Bates Battaglia and Rocky Welsing, who were all selected before Stevenson, but none of them ever played for the team. So, Stevenson was first and he was also born in San Bernardino!
On to this week’s question. Going a bit easy on you after last week’s difficult question.
How many players do the Ducks have playing in this year’s WJC and name them.
This question will obviously include partial credit.
Now, I’ve changed the rules a little bit. I will no longer just post the question three times on both our facebook and twitter, but I will try to post it as many times as possible at the top or bottom of the hour throughout the day. However, you still only have until midnight to submit your ONE guess. Also, for these questions with multiple answers, I will award partial credit.
