Here we are again, another edition of #20thAnniversary #TriviaThursdays and it’s also Week #10! So, now that we’re 10 weeks in, I think I should honor those in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place! So, here are the top 3:
1. Phil (@philloveshockey)
2. Rick Livingston (@RickStone1282)
3. Chris Morris (@ChrisMorris949)
Congrats to them! Now, onto last week’s question and answer:
Q: Who was the first player in franchise history to be named to the All-Star Game and when?. (Worth 2 points)
A: Alexei Kasatonov, 1994
I thought it would be a bit of a trick question with some people thinking it was Guy Hebert, but nope, it was Alexei! The Red Army legend was definitely more successful playing in Russia and internationally. He only won 10 gold medals combined in the Olympics, World Championships and World Junior Championships. However, one gold he didn’t get was in 1980. I wonder if you guys know what I’m talking about. You mad, Alexei? Anyway, onto this weeks question, continuing with the All-Star theme.
In what year did the Ducks send a franchise record four players to the ASG and who were they? (Worth 5 points)
Now, I’ve changed the rules a little bit. I will no longer just post the question three times on both our facebook and twitter, but I will try to post it as many times as possible at the top or bottom of the hour throughout the day. However, you still only have until midnight to submit your ONE guess. Also, for these questions with multiple answers, I will award partial credit.
