Hello Everybody!!!!
I hope you are all as excited as I am for tonight. The Ducks kickoff the season in Colorado @ 6:30 pm tonight.
It looks like tonight’s line up is
Maroon-Getzlaf-Perry
Silfverbeg-Perreault-Selanne
Cogliano-Koivu-Winnik
Belesky-Bonino-Palmieri
Fowler-Beauchemin
Allen-Vatanen
Fistric-Lovejoy
Victor Fasth
A couple quick Twitter notes about today’s game and roster considerations.
Looks like Viktor Fasth, who was very sharp in his final two preseason appearances, is your opening-night #NHLDucks goaltender.

Ducks activate Silfverberg, send Smith-Pelly to Norfolk

Indications are the odd men out of tonight's #NHLDucks lineup at COL will be LW Dustin Penner, C Peter Holland and D Hampus Lindholm.

Getzlaf on Penner being healthy scratch: " that's up to them (the coaches). He's got to work his way into the lineup like everybody else."

Pat Maroon is in tonight and Dustin Penner is out. Boudreau said Maroon's showing in camp was better and he earned the game tonight.

Boudreau: "We really are counting on Dustin Penner to be a big part of this club. He's worked very hard in practice the past 10 days."
— Dan Wood (@RealDanWood) October 2, 2013
More Boudreau: Wants young D Hampus Lindholm to "watch a game," see how speed, intensity ramp up in regular season.

Mathieu Perreault will start out centering Silfverberg and Selanne in his Ducks debut.
