North Charleston, SC – The Fort Wayne Komets look continue their playoff push tonight for a two game set against the Boston Bruins’ affiliate the South Carolina Stingrays. This will be the Komets first game against the Stingrays.
The K’s are coming off of a 5-4 overtime win versus the Toledo Walleye on Wednesday. The offensive production is still a little suspect. Jeff Deslauriers is expected to be in net tonight versus the team in the final playoff spot. The power play unit is anemic to say the least. They rank 22nd in the 23 team league.
The Stingrays are coming off of a 2-1 overtime loss to the Gwinnett Gladiators Tuesday. The Bruins affiliate is looking to hold onto the the final spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs. They are currently five points ahead of the Kalamazoo Wings for the spot.
The puck will drop at 7:05 p.m. EST.
