Evansville, IN – The Komets come into tonight’s game in second place in the North Division after getting four points in three games last weekend against the the division leading Cincinnati Cyclones. The K’s will face a familiar foe in the Icemen tonight at 8:15 PM EST in Evansville.
There will be a little bit of a challenge as two of the top forwards, Brandon Marino and Jean-Michel Rizk, got called up to Norfolk Tuesday. The pair participated in Norfolk’s training camp at the beginning of the season.
The power play unit has been slowly improving, but still ranks near the bottom of the league in production. To date, the K’s scoring just 20 times in 144 chances.
There is good news though, Daniel Maggio has returned from being on loan to Bridgeport of the AHL. Maggio is the Komets only All-Star selection.
